The Trail-Rossland 2026 BC Winter Games will officially begin with the Opening Ceremony tonight, Feb. 26, at the Trail Memorial Centre.

The celebration runs from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., with doors opening at 6 p.m.

Organizers say the ceremony will launch the multi-sport event with an evening of entertainment, a parade of participants, guest speakers and the lighting of the Games torch.

Athletes are encouraged to wear their zone colours as they take part in the festivities.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, participants will walk or wheel a short distance outside to board buses.

Attendees are advised to dress appropriately for the weather, as there will be no coat storage available.

Admission is free, with general seating and no advance tickets required.

Spectators are encouraged to arrive early to secure a seat, take in pre-show entertainment and make use of available street parking in downtown Trail.

Food will be available for purchase at the venue.

Those unable to attend in person can watch the ceremony live beginning at 7 p.m. on Feb. 26, with streaming details to be shared through the Games website and social media channels.
