The city of Quesnel has ratified an agreement with CUPE Local 1050 employees. These employees work in the RCMP detachment, city hall, public works and community services.

“I am delighted that we've reached an agreement and collaborated with the city of Quesnel to establish a fair contract for our dedicated employees, who are essential to keeping our city running smoothly," CUPE Local 1050 president Peter Bond said in a news release.

The agreement is for three years and is a five per cent wage increase for the first year, four and a half per cent for the second year and four per cent for the third. The agreement expires June 7, 2027.

The agreement for CUPE Local 1050-01 has not been negotiated, the release notes.
