Man arrested after two people injured in shooting in Quesnel

RCMP said neither victim had life-threatening injuries

One man was arrested after turning himself into the RCMP station in Wells Wednesday.

One man was arrested and an RCMP investigation is continuing after two men were injured in a reported shooting Wednesday afternoon.

Quesnel RCMP responded to a call at 3:01 p.m. Wednesday (June 26th) of a man who had been shot near Forest Service Road. RCMP discovered a second man had been shot. Neither had life-threatening injuries, an RCMP release said. A third man was arrested after he turned himself into the RCMP detachment in Wells.

Quesnel RCMP said in the release that the investigation is active but they do not believe there to be an ongoing threat to the public.

The investigation is ongoing and no charges have been laid at this time.
