Steelers win slow pitch icebreaker tournament at Barlow Creek fields

The tournament’s top three teams were the Steelers, Bouchie Batters and Rusty Swingers

A mixed slow pitch tournament was held at Quesnel’s Barlow Creek Fields last weekend (May 24th to May 26th).

The winners of the tournament were the Steelers with the Bouchie Batters in second place and the Rusty Swingers in third.

The icebreaker tournament was hosted by the Quesnel Mixed Slo Pitch League and featured a variety of teams. The season started in late April and the icebreaker tournament was one of the earliest tournament-style competitions teams had the opportunity to take part in.

Upcoming slow pitch tournaments include the Kings and Queens tournament in Williams Lake from June 21st to 23rd and the second annual Gold Rush tournament at Barlow Creek Fields in Quesnel from July 19th to 21st.
